Drum Content Awards: we make the finals with a B2B VR project

We’re feeling pretty pleased right now, having found out that we’ve made it through to the finals of the Drum Content Awards 2016, with our virtual reality (VR) project for Verne Global.

Verne operates Iceland’s only data center, and boasts many impressive benefits thanks to its location, from its green credentials through to fixed energy costs, and a great deal more. However, being in Iceland means many customers aren’t easily able to visit the facilities and see them for themselves.

That’s why we built a VR app to allow Verne’s sales teams to take the data centre with them wherever they went. From trade shows and conferences to meetings and events, the data centre could go wherever the customer was - virtually.

We’re really committed to VR and think it has a bright future in the B2B marketing space. B2B VR has been a hot conversational topic for a while now; there’s a lot of talk, but not a whole lot of action.

However, things are changing on that front, and we’re proudly leading the charge - investing in the right skills and capabilities to deliver VR work that makes a difference, not just rich, immersive experiences, but tools that support sales activities.

Which is why we’re delighted this project has been recognised and included in the finals of this prestigious award, alongside some other really inspiring work.

The awards themselves take place in London on 2 November. We’re already crossing our fingers.
